Mostly I work with light and salvaged objects. I like to turn rejected objects into lamps and light boxes. Suitcases, old doors, discarded wooden siding, old pieces of rusted metal I found on the train tracks, any found object that is remarkable to me - I'll wire it up and make it glow.

I am a collector of imperfect objects. I grew up on a farm and, though I'm a city kid now, still surround myself with signs of wear and tear. I am drawn to chipped paint, distressed wood, light bulb filament, rust and tarnish. Hunting hidden histories told through coats of color -- each with a tale to tell. With a penchant for power tools, I create my pieces by transforming found objects. Objects are shape shifters - a door becomes a lamp, a suitcase becomes a bookshelf etc. I try to focus on unwanted or outdated things - making them relevant again. Upcycle!
